PLA straws can only decompose in an industrial composting environment at 60°C or higher, while PHA straws can be completely decomposed by microorganisms in natural environments such as soil, seawater, and home compost, with a degradation cycle of only 3 to 6 months, truly achieving "zero residue". Paper straws contain plastic lamination or adhesives, some of which cannot be completely decomposed. PHA straws are 100% bio-based and only produce CO2 and water after decomposition. Compared with PLA, PHA decomposes in seawater more than ten times faster, which helps significantly reduce the pollution of Marine plastics.
